She started carrying bags and popping tags. Bearing the title of a thief before she was old enough to discern the stigmas. Though her evangelist mother drilled the fifth commandment in her skull and she endured harsh punishments from her father. She continued to pilfer goods secretly until she brought home the first parcel of chicken and steaks. Therein, her father lost all memory of chastisement. He and she began to coupled on grocery runs supplementing his earnings by stashing family-sized packets of meat in the lining of her coat. The groundwork for young Lavay to embark on trips downtown Brooklyn to supply her household with required commodities. Shortly after she became infamous in Brooklyn law and earned her Ph.D. in shoplifting. As the tsunami of life sucks her up, she had to bring forth knuckles. Will she win the battle and live down her rugged beginnings? Or will the corruption overthrow her?
